OpsDesk — How to Use It

A quick reference for running your solo business day to day. Also see the in-app "Take the Tour" button for a guided walkthrough.

Overview

OpsDesk tracks three things every solo operator needs — Leads (who might hire you), Jobs (what you're actually doing), and Money (what you've made and spent) — and connects them, so winning a lead or finishing a job doesn't mean re-entering the same information somewhere else.

Getting Started

STEP 1
A new prospect reaches out. Use + Quick Add → Lead to log their name and contact info. It starts in the "New" column on the Leads tab.
STEP 2
As you talk to them, click the lead and move it through the status pills: Contacted, then Quoted (enter the amount you quoted them).
STEP 3
They say yes — click Won. OpsDesk automatically creates a job for you in the Jobs tab, already carrying over the price you quoted. You don't re-type anything.
STEP 4
Work the job. Check off checklist items as you go, and adjust the due date or price if anything changes.
STEP 5
Job's finished — click Done. The job's price is automatically logged as income in the Money tab. Nothing to remember to enter later.
STEP 6
Log expenses (fuel, supplies, equipment) the same way, via + Quick Add → Income / Expense, any time.

Common Tasks

Seeing what needs attention today

The This Week tab always shows what's due in the next 7 days plus any lead that's been Contacted or Quoted but hasn't moved — the two things most likely to slip through the cracks.

Understanding your money over time

The Money tab's Summary table isn't just a list — switch between Daily, Weekly, Monthly, and Yearly to see income, expenses, and a running cumulative total for each period, so you can actually see whether a given week or month was good or bad, not just guess from a long transaction list.

A lost lead

Click "Lost" on a lead that didn't convert — it stays in your records (useful for knowing your close rate) but drops out of your active pipeline value.

Questions?

This is a portfolio demo built to show what a real version of this tool looks like and how it works. A real deployment for your business would use your actual data and be scoped around exactly how you work — this doc is a preview of the kind of documentation you'd get with it.
